The NEET 2025 entrance exam is the most accepted entrance exam for getting into the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. According to NEET 2025 Exam Pattern, the question paper will consist of 200 questions out of which candidates have to attempt 180, details of which are provided in the table. There are also some State-level examinations for taking admission to the State Government College for BAMS.

Candidates are selected on the basis of the final merit. The final merit list is prepared by calculating the sum of the total score obtained in the qualifying examination as 10+2 and the entrance examination score.

The BAMS admission process that aspirants should follow to get admission in the course of BAMS is as follows:

1. Admission to the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery course is done mainly through BAMS entrance examinations.
2. Aspirants of BAMS have to qualify for NEET-UG to get admission to the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery.
3. The NEET application fees for appearing in the exam for the general category are INR 1,500 and INR 800 for the SC/ST categories.

The minimum eligibility criteria for applying to the BAMS course are as follows:

1. Candidates need to have a minimum of 50%-60% in their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
2. The minimum required score in the 10+2 may vary according to the top BAMS institutions present in India.
3. Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the main subjects in the 12th board examinations.
4. The upper age limit for the candidates appearing for the NEET exam from the general category is 20 years. While a relaxation of 4 years is given to the reserved categories.
5. Candidates must prepare in accordance with NEET Syllabus in order to qualify for the exam.

1. The BAMS Syllabus consists of three different sections of the academic semester of 1 and ½ years each.
2. These semesters in BAMS Syllabus are known as the three professional courses.
3. The first professional course in the BAMS syllabus consists of anatomy, physiology and the history of the Ayurvedic system.
4. The second course in the BAMS syllabus contains biology and pharmacology and the final course of the BAMS Syllabus contains surgery, ENT, skin, obstetrics and gynecology.
5. This graduate degree program consists of 4 and ½ years in academic session and a one-year internship program with live projects.

BAMS syllabus deals with a wide range of BAMS subjects like the principle of medicine, modern anatomy, botany principles of surgery and core Ayurveda concepts. BAMS subjects teach students about different herbs and ayurvedic natural elements and their application in medicine.
